For those of you who don't know, Ed's birthday is on Christmas Day and this year he turned the BIG 30!! Ed, I hope you had an enjoyable day yesterday and I hope you have a super fun time tomorrow night at your "Surprise" party! You work so hard, so please live it up Saturday. You deserve it! Everyone is hoping for a Michael Bolton encore...and I have my thong ready to throw! Don't disappoint us!

PS-I just want to say that I am so impressed that EVERY year Tiffany and Johnny never forget to call and wish Ed a "Happy Birthday". Thanks guys, it means a lot to Ed.

All of my good friends know how much I love spaghetti! My co-workers see me eat it at least once a week for lunch. It is absolutely my favorite food ever! That is why it makes me so proud to show everyone these pictures of Brenna. As you can tell, she loves spaghetti as much as I do! We needed a bath after dinner!

Does anyone else have a husband who travels for work? Ed has been in the office a total of 2 days this month. That means the rest of the month he has been on the road. He is always so busy during the month of December visiting his customers all around the state of Kansas. He works really hard and I know he doesn't like being away from his family, but I am getting exhausted! I truly can say I know what it feels like to be a single parent and it is HARD! I was so excited last night when he said he would be coming home and working in the office on Tuesday because he ran out of the popcorn gifts for his customers. It is so silly to get excited about something like that, but I miss my husband and I want him at home with our family! Okay, enough complaining! I know we are lucky to even have jobs in this terrible economic time! ...I love you and miss you Ed! --Kelly

One year ago last week I was holding my Grandpa's hand as he passed away. He was such a loving, caring, honest, giving person. I really could go on and on about all of his wonderful personality traits. He would do anything for anyone and never put himself first. I am glad that Braeden is old enough that he will have memories of his Great-Grandpa. Although, it breaks my heart when he tells me, "Mama, I miss Papa Amos. Where is he?" It is so hard to answer these questions for a 3 year old. I just explain to him that Papa Amos is in heaven and we will be able to see him there again some day. I hope Braeden will grow up to be the kind of person my Grandpa was.

Brenna and I had a rough day today. I am actually looking forward to going to work tomorrow. She absolutely does not listen to me. I was pretty successful when it came to disciplining Braeden, so that is why this is so frustrating for me. She just laughs at me! If Daddy raises his voice to her, she immediately begins to cry and stops what ever she is doing wrong. Today she actually started to unwrap some of the presents under the Christmas tree. She was looking at me the whole time. It was pretty obvious she was testing her limits with me. We have had presents under the tree for weeks now, and she has never had any desire to mess with them. Now she just wants a reaction out of me. I am about at the end of my rope.

Dear Brenna,
Mommy wants you to be a well-behaved, obedient little girl. I need you to start listening to me and understanding that the things I am trying to teach you now are going to make you into the kind of person you will be in the future. I love you and only want the best for you. Let's get past this "terrible two" stage in a hurry. I think we will both be much happier!

Love you,
Mommy

Brenna had a rough night last night and is feeling pretty bad today. She has a stomach virus with vomiting and diarrhea, as well as an ear infection and a cold with pretty bad congestion. The Pediatrician says she needs antibiotics for the ear infection, but says they will just make the stomach virus worse. Poor thing! I hate when she looks up at me with her big brown, sad eyes because she doesn't understand why she doesn't feel good. Mommy loves you Sweet Pea and will always be here to take care of you!! I hope you feel better soon!!

Tomorrow, Dec. 2 is my mom's birthday. We all want to wish you a Happy Birthday and say we love you so much. Lindsey and I hope you enjoy your facial at The Argosy. You deserve some pampering!!
